    The Clay County Fair Association is proud to announce its 2016 Scholarship Program. The program is open to graduating senior students of a Clay County High School or Home Schooled Seniors, who are associated with the following Clay County groups: 4-H, FFA, F C C L A, or Police Explorers .The recipient's receive $1,000.00 that will be paid directly to any College or Technical Institution..
     
    ApplicatiCap-and-Rolled-Diplomaons are now being accepted. Details are available on-line at  www.claycountyfair.org , the fair office, or the guidance office at the local high schools.  
     
    The completed applications must be received at the Clay County Fair Association office by Friday, February 26, 2016. For additional information contact the fair office at 904-284-1615.

    The Fair Association has awarded over $142,000 in scholarships since the program began. The Fair Association will recognize this year's scholarship winners at the Annual Appreciation Luncheon on March 22, 2016.

    Clay County Agricultural Fair Names Hyder New General Manager

    The Clay County Fair Association announced today that it has hired Tasha Hyder as the new General Manager.  Tasha will replace Pete Sutton, who is retiring.

    Tasha  Tasha was selected after a nation-wide search that started in August. She is currently employed with the Town of Orange Park as the Special Events Director.

    Sheryl Hartzog, Marketing Director stated “The Board of Directors is excited to have Tasha join the fair team. She has a tremendous track record of success. Her energy and visions will help us build on the foundation that has been built over the last 29 years. “

     

    Tasha will start on November 16, 2015 and work with Pete in the transition period. We wish Pete enjoyment in his retirement and welcome Tasha to our team.

    2016 Theme Logo

    We are proud to introduce our theme logo for the 2016 fair. This year is special…it’s our 30th Anniversary. The Board of Directors selected the theme of “30 Years of Down Home County Fun”.  Because we take pride in family and fun at our fair, we think it’s very fitting. Please help us celebrate our 30th Anniversary by sharing and making plans to attend the Fair March 31 – April 9, 2016.     Clay Fair RV Park Opens to the General Public

    The Clay County Fair Association today announced that it will open its new RV Park to the general public. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony is planned through the Clay County Chamber of Commerce at 9:30 on October 1, 2015 at the park entrance, adjacent to the fairgrounds.

    The new park office will be located in the administration office under the direction of the fair association.

    The Board of Directors has named Derrell Kelly as the Property/RV Park Manager. He will report to General Manager, Pete Sutton.

    The park has 68 spots available with underground utilities. The park was designed and built to accommodate the midway provider employees and vendors during the fair. It will continue to be used for this purpose but now will be available for overnight stay during the non-fair times to the general public.
