The Clay County Fair Association announced today, they have begun construction of an RV Park along the side to the fairgrounds. The property is owned by the Fair Association just west of the County Fairgrounds entrance road.
Marketing Director, Sheryl Hartzog stated "our Board of Director's voted after last year's fair to build the new RV Park so the fair could expand it's midway operation. Our fair continues to grow and attract people from all over each year, with the new addition of the RV Park this will help us improve service for our guests. Moving the midway bunkhouses and RV's to the new park will open up the north area of the midway to allow us to add more rides. The goal for the new expansion is to improve the operation to reduce midway wait times."
Construction of the new RV Park was awarded to Jeff's Excavating of Green Cove Springs, FL. Engineering for the site was done by Tocoi Engineering, located in Orange Park, FL.
